SCOPE: Fashion & Art Expo Presents: Unplugged

Over the past year, Houston’s SCOPE Show has become one of the continuously growing culture events in the City of Houston. The seasonal event fuses the best in independent fashion, art, and music all under one roof.

SCOPE Show consistently introduces fresh, new elements to cater to the eyes, ears, and even taste buds of those in attendance. With this in mind the March 2nd SCOPE Show is sure to please. The SCOPE Lounge is proud to introduce its first Unplugged series featuring three of Houston’s budding Hip-Hop artists who’s talent is gaining recognition outside of state lines on a national scale: Roosh Williams, Propain, and Doughbeezy.

Roosh Williams: The emcee who’s calm demeanor is indeed no indication of how he will rip a track to shreds with his explosive delivery and intricate wordplay. Roosh has received high praises for his 2013 mixtape “Déjà Roo: Times Have Changed”, landing him on several top artists/album lists and a few award nominations. He also raised eyebrows and opened ears in the fall of 2013 when he teamed up for a collaborative project with Simple Mobile, Complex Magazine, and HipHopDX releasing the EP “Drobots: The Reboot” which was completed over the course of 24 hours. Williams has worked with the likes of Bubba Sparxx, Action Bronson, and Hip-Hop legend Scarface. Roosh continues to break the mold and spread his unique brand of Texas music and is sure to be a who’s who not only in Houston, but in Hip-Hop.

Propain: “Born to lose. Raised to win”. Propain has established himself as a force to be reckoned with. Propain is a man of the people with a connection to fans that is unmatched, the people can’t get enough. After releasing his most critically acclaimed project to date, “Ridin Slab” received rave reviews and continues to be an awesome showing for Propain. His warrior mentality, persistence, and raw talent have finally placed the spotlight on one of Houston’s next-to-blow and gotten him the recognition every artist aspires to: the support of loyal and growing fans and the number one requested song on Houston’s top Hip-Hop radio station (“2 Rounds” featuring Rich Homie Quan). Propain’s slab ride to success is just getting started and his story is still being written. The next chapter looks to be promising.

Doughbeezy: The self proclaimed “South-East Beast” has come a long way from his days of cypher competitions. Doughbeezy’s name and music have grown, but the Headwreckas CEO’s game plan hasn’t changed. Not above being his own street team has paid off and he is seeing the seeds planted over the past few years start to grow. A successful run at Kickback Sundays and two well received mixtapes (“Reggie Bush & Kool-Aid”/”Blue Magic”) have laid the foundation for his most recent album, the highly anticipated “Footprints On The Moon”. Doughbeezy’s determination to win and undeniable skills in the booth have placed him in the class of the future of Texas Hip-Hop and one of Houston’s elite.

In addition these 3 talented artist, the SCOPE Lounge will also feature the soulful sounds of Suraiye Myles- a classically trained vocalist, songwriter and producer and recently, a Houstonian implant from Alabama by way of Virginia. She has extensive résumé as a featured soloist, professional recording artist, has done several voice-overs for commercials and national advertising campaigns, and is currently the lead singer of a jazz/soul band in Houston, TX.

AutoBox Live is a phenomenal Live Jazz, R&B and Soul music act that shares a wealth of professional experience in both the major & Indie sectors of the music and entertainment industry.

The SCOPE Unplugged series brings these artist together for a musical experience not to be forgotten. The talent between Roosh Williams, Propain, and Doughbeezy will be a moment in Houston’s music history in the making. These three artists have never graced the same stage all in one show before. SCOPE Unplugged is promised to be a display of Houston’s premier talent.

All ages welcome
